Sheffield City Region (SCR) has opened its fund to support South Yorkshire businesses seeking grant funding.
The grant money is part of the Governments Regional Growth Fund and the Local Enterprise Partnership in Sheffield was announced as as a winner in October last year.
£10m of the £25m budget is still unallocated and the SCR Local Enterprise Partnership are asking for Expressions of Interest by 31st January for those wanting to bid.
There has been strong interest so bids need to show value for money and projects need to have completed their cost elements by the end of 2014.
Decision criteria is likely to be around:
- Demonstrating Job Growth
- Keeping to less than 30% in grant contribution
- Showing why the funding is needed
- Complying with State Aid
- Achieving outputs against plan in the time fame
